Portable Soil Sampling Drill Rig

Description

The SMC-DTH-PS100 is a lightweight, handheld soil sampling drill rig built for efficient, undisturbed subsurface sampling in areas where traditional rigs cannot reach. Engineered for simplicity and portability, the PS100 is ideal for environmental assessments, shallow soil surveys, and agricultural soil analysis in complex or restricted terrains.

With a sampling depth of up to 10 meters, the SMC-DTH-PS100 delivers high-quality, minimally disturbed samples without the need for water injection—preserving the native structure and composition of the soil. Its compact design allows single-person operation and transport, making it a powerful alternative to both large hydraulic rigs and manual augers.

Powered by a 1.6 HP two-stroke engine and featuring a vibration frequency of 1300 cycles/min, the unit offers excellent penetration performance with low fuel consumption. The equipment supports continuous sampling through connected drill pipes without lifting the drill head mid-operation, improving efficiency and sample integrity.
