
Description
SMC Two-Stage Diesel Stationary Screw Air Compressors are built around a high-performance screw air end and an oil-air separation barrel. Designed with dual screw rotors (commonly referred to as male and female rotors), the system compresses air through volume reduction as the rotors rotate in precise synchronization.
The screw air end, a two-shaft rotary design, draws in air through a suction filter and inlet control valve. Oil is injected into the compression chamber to cool, seal, and lubricate both the rotors and bearings. The compressed air and oil mixture then passes through a separation system, ensuring clean and efficient output.
Powered by a diesel engine and an optimized transmission system, the compressor operates at speeds best suited for consistent performance. The original design minimizes the need for maintenance, helping reduce both operational costs and downtime. All components are engineered for long service life, with oversized inlet filters, oil filters, and high-efficiency separators that maintain excellent air quality.
Models up to 22 kW (30 hp) use centrifugal-type filters and separators, further simplifying maintenance. With clearly marked “quick maintenance points,” routine service tasks can be completed in minutes, ensuring maximum uptime and minimal interruption.
