Diesel Portable Air Compressors

Description

Twin screw air compressors address the imbalance and bearing wear issues found in single screw models, offering longer service life, lower noise, and improved energy efficiency. Since the technology matured in the 1980s, their applications have expanded rapidly. Diesel portable screw air compressors are increasingly replacing traditional piston compressors due to their higher reliability and fewer vulnerable components. Globally, screw compressors now dominate the market—rising from 27% in Japan in 1976 to 85% by 1985, with similar trends in Western countries.

Compared to piston types, screw compressors feature a simpler structure, smaller size, no wearing parts, more reliable operation, and easier maintenance. Single-screw (worm) air compressors, using a six-head screw and dual 11-tooth star gears, offer balanced force, compact design, and reduced weight—typically only 1/6 that of piston compressors—while delivering efficient, stable performance.
